The Posting Fast Is Over

Bad News: Took me awhile to update the site because we have been so busy and Google was updating the blogger interface.  Many more WOD scores and results tomorrow, just wanted to get this post up ASAP now that Blogger is working.
Good News: The reason things are so hectic is because we are drowing in CrossFitters and this helped our decision timing for the move into a new facility. Awesome details and big news coming in the next few days...
Extra Good News: Sunday will be another haze-fest here and hopefully Joe Venuti can sneak his butt up here to help us run things just like the qualifiers so the guys we are sending will know what to expect when they get there. We've already picked the WOD so just bring your happy little demon-like selves ready to rock and roll. More details on this tomorrow as well.
Cherry Topping of Good News: Website formatting update coming soon as well, expect some streamlining so that I can stop pulling out beard hair at 2am in a posting stress-fest.

I. Northeast Regional Qualifiers: May 23-24, 2009

CrossFit Games Widget
Athletes from Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, & Vermont will gather to contend for an opportunity to represent the Northeast in the CrossFit Games this coming summer (click the above icon link for the official CF Games website).
No one has any idea what challenges will be waiting for those CrossFitters lucky enough to survive the Qualifiers, but regardless of what form the final WOD takes it will leave no doubt that the title "Fittest Human on the Earth" will belong to the last man and woman standing in.
Three of our family members from the Stable will be heading to the Regional Qualifiers and we couldn't be prouder or more excited to watch them fight for their lives in a field of competition thick with Elite CrossFit Athletes.
Goodluck to Mike M., Wes, and Dennis... 36 days until the reckoning.
Link to the Regional Qualifier Host: Albany CrossFit
I already volunteered to help the guys out at Albany CrossFit run their event so if anyone else wants to do so or tag along as spectators just let me know... I think we should bring some of the intensity from the Stable down to Albany for our athletes to feed upon.  Anyone got a q-tip?

II. New Resources and Links Added
I've been slowly adding links to free CrossFit Journal Articles that I thought our athletes might want to go rub their retinas on .  The Articles cover a variety of topics but lately we have been spending a great deal of time refining the Olympic Lifting Skill Sets, as well as building the capacity to perform during running and rowing WODs and you will find the most recent additions represent those needs.  There is a wealth of information in these free articles and you can expect our pool of knowledge to continue growing as fast as I can assimilate new sources.  Go feed those hungry brains.

This WOD was an awesome acheivement for these two athletes as they have been meticulous and dedicated in their efforts to develop a thorough proficiency in the 9 Fundamental CrossFit Movements. The effort put into learning the proper execution of each movement provided them with the efficiency of human mechanics needed to survive this 9 minute festival of suck, however, I think everyone that watched was inspired by the performance capacity increase Kent and Joe displayed.  I don't think anyone has completed 50+ Air Squats on the first round before today but both of our CrossFitters easily accomplished that (Joe actually hit 60 reps).  I am constantly amazed by how fast these guys adapt to the stresses of CrossFit, and I want to congratulate them on reaching the first true tier of fundamental proficiency. It only gets more exciting from this point on...

The profanity that comes out of such an innocent looking face is pretty hilarious, Mike and I decided that RJ has an absolute talent for describing the suck-level of any given WOD... we will have to rely on him more often to provide this valuable service to the other CrossFitters he trains with.
