Alison crushing the DB Push Press/Push Jerk.
This pic gave me an idea for a quick trivia question to pose for our athletes:
Which phase of the Push Press/Jerk is she moving through, how do you know it's a Push Jerk and not a Push Press based solely on what you can see in the image?
Keep slaying, Alison!

My supposition is that Alison is moving through the phase of the lift where one would drop under the bar after the initial drive (if you fancy, the second dip). I am lead to this conclusion because Alison's pony tail still has upward momentum from the drive phase of the lift and is traveling upwards while the remainder of Alison is dipping underneath the load.
To quote the CrossFit Jounal... "Press and Dip: This time instead of just pressing, you press and dip a second time simultaneously, catching the bar in a partial squat with the arms fully extended overhead."
Saturday is going to be a painstorm for me if I ever felt one.

Methinks Alison has just completed the push jerk and is lowering the weights from the top of the jerk.
You know it is a Push/Jerk and not a push press as the knees are bent?
