no i think he meant slaughter your stems and lower back via seven deadlift sets, Bert. Read a book for once in your life.

as for bars and weights... check out your local craigslist, or http://www.searchtempest.com/ which searches many craigslist options for you. search terms like:
oly bar
olympic bar
weights
olympic weights
plates
weight bumpers
and others... are sure to find a set cheap. even maybe kettlebells :)
