I was glad I got to see it. Looks great and I know you guys have put a lot of hard work into it. Cannot wait to start working out there although I have to admit I will miss the garage!!!
You should try this trick when it's time to cut those mats.
1. Mark your Line with a chalk line 2. place your straight edge on it. 3. Have someone spray wd-40 down the line. 4. Take you Razor Knife, cut the mat.
As well as the WD40, another tip is to put as broomstick under the line where you will cut. This helps to leaver the cut apart. Be careful not to do the cut at an angle though.
5 rounds for time of: 7 dumbbell thrusters, 50lbs each 11 burpees
time - 9:59
If I would have put this time up on a normal day I would have been scaring the little kids at the hotel pool because I would have been beating myself up (literally) but since I have spent 14 hour days in the car the last 3 days and with 5 hours of sleep a night I saved my head the beating. I am about one to one and a half days away from Oregon. I am trying to get there so I can show up and start my internship before I even move into my apartment. http://www.crossfitclackamas.com/ Also with regards to thrusters if you have never done them with dumbbells, do them. I would say for me 50 lb dumbbells thrusters are harder then 135 lb barbell thrusters.
Wes/Samy, seeing as I don't have a bar and can't afford them right now, would you recommend that I get dumbbells to sub weights? Which are the absolute necessities??
invest now and save money later, get the barbell first and just use metal plates. Drop it if you have to but try not to, dumbbells are ok but you will need a full set to keep challenging yourself and will end up spending tons of cash anyway. Where there is a will there is a way young Kentimus Dorsimus, if only Bert would learn such things. Max effort deadlifts work just as well with front ends of small motor vehicles.

Joe, that is a vile thing to suggest.
