Part II: Pull-up Ascension Ladder
With a continuously running clock do one pull-up the first minute, two pull-ups the second minute, three pull-ups the third minute... continuing as long as you are able.
Use as many sets each minute as needed.

Katie, can't we compromise a little bit here? For the love of God, would it be too much to ask you to replace the words Explosive Pound with explosion sound? High fives accompanied by explosion sounds fit in perfectly with brains and skull fragments everywhere.
Congratulations to Jill for getting her first kipping pull-up today and joining Katie in their little support group for those seeking pull-ups.

Can't do the thrusters for lack of weights or any broken track & field equipment up here. There's a ledge where I can grasp and do pullups, so I'll let my man out for the 2nd part of the WOD. Do I just do it until absolute muscle failure / until i can't get the number of reps in the minute?

Yes, go until you fail to complete the reps for whatever minute you are on. Use as many sets as you need, but when time rounds out it's over.

Pull up thing- 7 min almost made it to 8 dropped at 7. Crap.
The reason for the one lb is I don't have 2 1/2lb plates so I had to strap 3lb hand wgts to the bar and Im freakin' counting it!
Thank you to Trevor the 14 yr old camp neighbor who did the WOD with me today. He did very well and made sure I did not drop the bar on my head although the way my shoulders feel it may of helped...

yeah! first time i can recall that i've tossed 3 figures over my head in such a glorous fashion. the first failure was an epic smash into my chin/throat that left a tasty bruise and bleeding lips, the 2nd fail was my inability to lock it out.

Sick job dude, I know your arms are nice and sore, make sure to keep moving them and drinking tons of water. Sitting at a computer all day for work will only add to your recovery time.
